“The senses and the powers of drawing and contemplation are a special gift bestowed to man by God, since it is the true mediator which elevates man to a higher level as it extracts him out of the mundane life, saves him from the turmoil and agitation that prevail in the public domain and places him on the individual domain. However, this is solely true when man utilizes contemplation and drawing for beneficial purposes, only then does it place him on a supreme level. Through drawing and contemplation man can attain these emotions of true and pure spiritual goodness that can never be reached through the intellect alone. The intellect is only a mediator that serves for the methodological understanding of things whereas drawing and contemplation deepen the emotion in what one understands. Emotion that is evoked by contemplation is superior, in certain aspects, to emotion that springs from the deepening of the mind. Emotion from deepening of the mind is highly superior. Those who engage in intellectual work know the difference between intelligence and the attainment and deepening of the mind. Intelligence and attainment are a pure and clear understanding whereas the deepening of the mind is emotion.
The difference between the understanding mind and the feeling mind has been discussed in the past, where a true sage does not budge from knowledge until reaching the state when he can feel it, since that is true knowing. When do we claim that a person truly attains an understanding of knowledge? It is when he feels the knowledge. But all of this occurs in the realm of the intellect, that is, when he delves into knowledge, each emotion related to the knowledge leaves a certain impression throughout the day, where his intellectual engagement is vividly evident in the management of his mundane life. The impression left by drawing and contemplation is more in the manner of engraving, relating more to the physical aspect than the impression of deepening the mind, since the impression of deepening the mind is more distinguished from the world.”

The idea of drawing via the mobile phone originated from my extended travels thereby absence from the studio. I discovered the possibility of drawing on the mobile phone first by the use of my finger followed by the use of an electronic pen.
This technique afforded me creative freedom – speed, accessibility, and countless tools, brushes and colors.
I found it easier to express the ideas in my heart, which were latent even to me as they simply emerged, where only upon the completion of the drawing I realized its meaning. I draw what I experience consciously and subconsciously, and I find that in the human network, the artistic language of expressing emotions can provide an emotional outlet for others – emotions that can’t be expressed through words.
The drawing is a reflection and an inward mirror of an emotion that didn’t have a form, words and color.
